Education Comments:

I was going to school for nursing. I have five more classes before I can be accepted into the program for LPN. Also, I have been working as a correctional officer. I have been in the system for nine years now.

Family Comments:

I have two beautiful kids and being with them is like the highlight of my life. Being a mother was not my first choice, but since God had a choice in the matter, he chose the one that he saw fit. I am so glad and blessed that he decided that i was a great person to be someone's mom. I wouldn't change it for the world. Being a mother has so many advantages that many aren't fortunate to have. So I thank God for choosing me.

Newport News, Virginia; Dublin, and Milledgeville

Favorite high school memory?

My high school experience was a blast. Even though I argued with plenty of people to last a lifetime, I wouldn't have changed it for anything. No matter what was said to me or about me, I looked forward to going back to school the next day and doing it all over again.

Mrs. Massey, Ms. Braswell, and Mrs. Jenkins#1

Did you ever have to go the Principle's office for discipline?

Yes

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

with no more kids, a college degree, and living elsewhere other than Sandersville

In what ways do you think that our class could give back to our High School community?

maybe sponsor some type of mentoring camp for teenagers. i think some kids fall short because they have no one to listen to them or love them. showing that we care and are here for them can make a difference to some if not all of them.

How can we improve our Classmates' Connection now over 10 years since high school?

I think that keeping the website, as well as the get togethers going, those who want to be kept in touch with, will continue to update their profiles and attend the functions.

What is something that we would never believe about you now?

Most people don't believe I have kids. I also sing at church, so it's a shock when people come to Word of Life and see shy Latanya singing lead to some really powerful gospel.

no , but i did go to the club afterwards

make a cd and write a book

When you love God with all your might, He then allows you to love yourself. Once you love yourself, you then open doors to love others. when you love others you are honoring God's words that say "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS YOU WOULD LOVE YOURSELF"
